Dry cough the past 2 months

The past 2 months I have been having this dry cough. I have been on antibiotic and nothing seem to help.i have also picked up 22kg in 6 months. I have always been skinny. Any help or recommendations? Stage 3 COPD

  1. Hi . That must be awfully frustrating. There are so many potential causes of a dry cough. Do you take Lisinopril for high blood pressure by any chance? That can cause a relentless dry cough in some people, myself included. Doctors often don't think of Lisinopril when they are investigating a dry cough.
A persistent dry cough can also be an effect of chronic bronchitis or a symptom of acid reflux. Have you talked with your doctor about it?
Here is an article about the different types of persistent coughs that can come with COPD and how to treat them: https://copd.net/living/not-just-cough. I hope this helps and that you get some relief. Thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Hi Lori, thank you for the info. No I am on no blood pressure meds. I will read the article you've send, thank you so much. I'm seeing Dr in Aug for my 6th monthly check up. I just pray that it is not my heart giving trouble. Thank you for this amazing group where we can I for help.
