Activities that help mitigate the effects of COPD

I find Bird Watching relaxing and stress relieving and it can be done from
at home with bird feeders outside, from a vehicle in Nature parks or around lakes and on foot when conditions are good for cool and fresh air
resulting in better oxygen levels.

  1. What a great hobby, ! Do you keep a journal of your observations? Thanks for sharing. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)

  2. Thank you Lori for your response. Yes, I do keep journals of sightings and report sightings to E-bird, a world-wide conservation program that helps monitor bird numbers and take action when necessary when populations drop. There are networks of friendly birders and naturalists that keep connected for sightings of rare and interesting birds.

    1. How cool! I am familiar with the community loon counts in the Adirondacks, but I'd never heard of E-bird. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for sharing. - Lori (Team Member)

  3. Thank you again Lori, E-bird is very user friendly. Also, if you are interested in identifying birds you observe by song or sight, there is a free app on your cellphone called "Merlin" that will assist in positive identification.
