what the test for COPD and how much is the cost about?

My Mother had COPD, she passed away at 70 years old. I had a breathing problem 3 yrs ago getting out of the shower i was shocked I don't know what was happing. My friends said I had a panic attack. I don't think that made sense to me but I was ok maybe. Then I was getting ready to work and getting out of the shower and it happend aging my friend call 911 but by the time they got hear I was breathing normal and said I don't need ambulance. Well I go today to see a Doctor about it $$$$$
