Short exercise interval training

Lately I'm experimenting with short, anaerobic bursts of high intensity (HI)resistance training. Perhaps 10-12 sets. Then engaging in non exercise related activities. Later during the day, perhaps an hour or two elapsed, I'll resume the HI training for another increment. Total sets: 30-40. Thoughts? So far I'm liking this approach.

  1. Hi Beowulf - if these short bursts of high-intensity resistance anaerobic exercise work for you - all the better. I would suggest you check this out with your physician, too. The doctor will be able to more objectively tell you if your particular cardiopulmonary health can tolerate this specific type of activity, spaced several hours apart. It's always prudent to have medical input when starting something new in the way of execise.
    What do you think?
