Red Light Therapy

Has anyone tried this or had any experience with it? If so how did you fare?

  1. I've been doing red light therapy in a full body booth for about two months now I think. I had a PFT test after six weeks, and my numbers were up, even to levels from 5 years ago! I don't know if it's just placebo effect, or a lucky day at the lung function clinic, but I'm going to keep doing the treatment for a few more months and see how the next PFT goes. It's worth noting that I don't actually feel any better. No noticeable reduction in shortness of breathe. It is, however, nice to feel like I'm doing something to treat my condition, and the treatment is relatively cheap, easy, and very enjoyable. Standing in a booth and letting warm light wash over you for ten minutes a day is a luxury in Canadian winter 😁

    1. I hear that - I always found doing something preferable to doing nothing, even if it didn't end up working. Like when driving how I prefer to keep moving even if it's the longer way just to avoid traffic - it makes us feel like we are actually doing something! You are not alone in that, hopefully it will start working soon or you can move on. Let us know if you need any help in that regard! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
