New treatments

My Father died of COPD about 25 years ago and he was on the same meds I have been prescribed , with the exception of Trelogy. The treatment hasn't improved very much in 25 years. Sometimes I wonder if that is because most patients are or were smokers. I have been talked down to by many Dr. for smoking.

  1. I am on Breztri steroid inhaler twice a day plus my nebulizer treatments as needed. Breztri is the best I have had . Also I take Mucinex to make it easier to get the phlegm up . Walgreens Mucus Relief ER 1200 mg. extended release is just as good and cheaper . It has really helped me .

    1. Thank you I will ask my Dr about these.

      1. Hi , and welcome! I see you have been a member here since May of this year and, we appreciate your membership in our online community. We are glad to see you engaging now directly with the community through these two comments of yours.
I am sorry for the loss of your dad. Please accept my condolences at this time.
On another topic, I am disappointed to learn of the way some physicians have treated you. That should not be! Sadly, professional physicians are not to be judgmental with their patients.
Perhaps you will be able to seek out a physician who is more compassionate and understanding of this disease process and how it affects patients. I am glad to hear you plan on speaking with your current physician about the suggestions that has made (thanks, carlton!) Please do check back and let us know how the conversation turns out for you.
        All the best,
