Breathing at night

How do you keep your oxygen in your nose at night . I wake up and it might be on the floor or in the bed or just hanging on one ear .

  1. I had the same problem when I came home from the hospital after my diagnoses. I got very frustrated because it was the only thing at the time that help, I wasn't on any medication that help. I also found out that I'm a mouth breather at night. When I left the hospital I was send home with all the disposable equipment that I used there, ie: cannulas, Nebulizer Kit, and a open mask. I stated using the open mask and I started sleeping so much better, before I started using it I didn't sleep much. This is what I use, they are a bit expensive but I find for a peace of mind it is worth it. Search Amazon for Adult OxyMask Oxygen Mask, with 7' Universal Oxygen Tube. I would check with your doctor to make sure it's okay for you to use this mask.

I hope you breath easy today.

    1. Thanks for the tip, it is useful to have stuff like this to fall back on. Those of us who suffer with chronic illness, many times, have to find their own way through when it comes to the day to day living with the illness. We jerry-rig things, find out of the box solutions, and research online for unique gadgets that might make life easier. I have been on my own chronic illness journey for many years, decades even, and I cannot tell you how many things I've had to "invent" in order to make life easier! You are not alone! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
