smart vest

I have used the smart vest for about 6 months now and it works really well to get rid of mucus. Took a few weeks to see results but it is like a miracle to me. I am on medicare and it is paid for by them, can't promise it will work for everyone byt it sure has helped me. Good luck if you get one. Mary Lou

Hi again, hite, and thanks for mentioning this.
I believe the reference you may be referring to (related to 'vest' therapy), is located here on our sister site for cystic fibrosis: https://cystic-fibrosis.com/answers/airway-clearance-vests. This type of therapy is often times referred to as HFCWO, an acronym which stands for High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation.
This is a therapy, which as I recall, started in about 2001, primarily for patients with a Cystic Fibrosis (CF) diagnosis. Over the years, it has evolved to the point that it may also be used in certain situations for folks with COPD as well.
