I've had an amazing adventure with my pulmonologist over the last couple of months! I've had pneumonia for over a year and am now rid of it! And in a weird way, too. During that time, I was in the hospital twice, was crammed full of antibiotic infusions, and then also with antibiotics at home, among other things. None of it worked. Then he put me on a new regimen: Azithromycin, 250 mg., One per 3 times a week on Mon, Tues, and Wed. Plus Prednisone 10 mg. daily, plus the red Codeine cough syrup. The pneumonia went away in two months! Crazy! He also changed me over from albuterol to Arformoterol.
Also, I got another CT Scan on Friday, and the nodules (2) I had in my upper left lung are gone too! And, I am now also diagnosed with severe Asthma! How weird is that? I've never had that my whole life till now, and didn't know it was even possible to get it. I'd always thought you were born with it. Now he is working on getting me on Dupixent. What a ride the last year plus has been! I feel much better, though I am still quite weak and walking is difficult. Eating very much was also an issue, but I am eating a little more now. I even got some ice cream! Yum!
So, I am making a little progress, for once. I hope everyone is doing better, at least today. I even got my HVAC working better, so it's way cooler in the house now, which is good in this heat!
