Is having Hyperinflated lungs and partially collapsed Diaphragm a standard symptom of COPD ?

G'day wonderful people 🦘😊
I was diagnosed 15 months ago after battling a bad chest infection for almost 2 weeks at home without seeing a doctor. I became so unwell I felt like I was suffocating, so I drove myself to hospital and was immediately put through to level 2 in our emergency department. My sats were 88%, after blood and other tests turned out I had Pneumonia, Street throat, partially collapsed right lung. After further tests I was advised my lungs are hyperinflated and my diaphragm partially collapsed. I am also an asthmatic, although from childhood it became more seasonal, and also suffer from various allergies. I found this community whilst researching my condition and what it means for me moving forward, what to expect, mortality etc. And yes, I smoked cigarettes for over 40 years, started age 13. Silly me! I see my Pulmonary specialist every 6 months, I'm told to take various steroid inhalers daily, I don't, they give me horrible side effects. I do use Ventolin, but prefer to use a nebuliser. My tests state I am at 67% lung function. I would love to hear any advice, stories of your journeys in the hope of understanding my own journey better. Doctors may treat the disease but they don't live and breathe it like we do... pun intended.
Wonderful to be a part of such a wonderful supportive community. Wishing you all daily blessings no matter how small. Take care, look forward to hearing from anyone who can give me more insight. Thank you kindly. God bless you all 🙏🏼
