  1. Hi . I'm glad to hear it's stayed out of your lungs so far. We're not medical experts, but I would expect that self-care would go a long ways toward preventing this infection from impact your lungs. That means lots of rest, fresh air, regular use of saline to keep your sinuses moist, eating well and keeping stress levels low. I hope others in the community have more ideas. In the meantime, I'm sending loads of healthy, healing energy your way. Keep us posted if you don't mind. I'll be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. ,
I have had several colds, Covid, and the flu in the past year and have managed to keep all of them from turning into a lung infection. What I did and will do in the future is contact my medical team first. I usually get a prescription for Prednisone and sometimes an antibiotic depending on if the cause is viral or bacterial. I then do a nasal rinse with a NetiPot and saline solution daily. Sometimes more than once a day depending on if my sinuses are clogged up or not. I keep my hands washed and clean. I do not overly exercise or do more than I can physically handle to conserve my energy for fighting off the cold or flu. I sometimes run a humidifier. This helps keep mucus thin so I can get rid of it. I keep up a good diet and take daily vitamins. Decaf Green Tea helps with loosening mucus and helps inflammation. This has helped me fight off anything that could effect my lungs. So far, so good. Hope you are feeling better. Take care and God Bless!

    1. Hi Diminor, hope you are having a bit of an easier day today! I also find that putting in the himidifyer helps my mom who has breathing issues. My own theory is that it helps the dust and other particles to attach to water vapor, making them heavier and then they fall out of the air, but who knows, I could be totally just inventing that! 😊 Glad to hear, though, you found a method that works to give you some relief! Well, just wanted to say hi and, as always, we are here if there's anything we can do! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
