How important and what is the effectiveness of a nebulizer?

Hi rayfizz2019 - If you're doctor has ordered a medication that is administered via a nebulizer, than it's very important. At times, the doctor will give you the option to take a medication either by nebulizer or metered dose inhaler; in that case, you do what makes you feel the best at the time. Not everyone with COPD takes medications via nebulizer others take all their meds that way. If you're in doubt, please ask your doctor why they prescribed the way they did.

Hi rayfizz2019 and thanks for your post and inquiry. In addition to the excellent response from Lyn, I thought this article, about COPD and nebulizer treatments, might provide you with some additional insight for your concern: https://copd.net/clinical/breathing-treatments/. I do hope you find it to be helpful. All the best, Leon (site moderator)

I have Ipratropium Bromide for the nebulizer and Stioalto inhaler & Ventolin some combo. Feels like none work, today I have a tremendous amount of pressure and very hard to breathe, and I am on a 24/7 Oxygen
