I also have copd but my husband is

Worse than me as I have never smoked he has smoked all his life and he's now very thin I can see his ribs and bones poking through which I find upsetting as this warm weather he's not having his tops on so what can I do he's still smoking like a chimney he will not stop and he has no respect for anyone at all he's not bothered that it's making him ill at all.

I am married to him I also got copd because he always smoked in the house so what do I do I cannot stand him smoking.

I have been for a spirometry test this week at the doctors and I have an appointment on the 18th of July for my results.
He also has asthma and emhpasemia aswell he just dosnt care about him killing himself through smoking at all.
He looks like a skeleton with no top and and I don't like to see him like this he's had it since 2007.
Where can I get some Support from cus this is upsetting me to see him like this and aswell of all this I have trauma from childhood and from being in a relationship with him which is not as good as it used to be when the kids were small.
So what do I do.

  1. Hi Dolphin, that sounds like a frustrating and difficult situation. I wanted to share some of the articles we have on support groups that might be available for you:

Hopefully, this at least gives you a place to start. Also, you can always come here to be with others who understand what you are going through. Just to chat, vent, ask questions, or just read and hang out - whatever helps! You are not alone! Keep on keepin' on, DPM
