  1. NO

    1. Hi . I am glad you have been able to get by without any changes. Do you feel your symptoms are under control? Best wishes. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. Yes, I have had to make a lot of changes. I have to pace myself and I cannot do the things I used to. It can be depressing sometimes. Of course, this disease gets worse as time goes by so I am not looking forward to what is next.

    1. The unpredictable nature of COPD can be scary and depressing at times, . I hope you are finding it helpful to hear from people in this community who are still with us and living life as fullly as possible even decades after diagnosis. Gentle hugs. - Lori (Team Member)

  3. Yes I have. I had to stop working because it was to physical for me to do. I know I have had to slow down and take it easy. I it is very frustrating.

    1. We hear you, . Were you about to get approved for disability? Thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

  4. I just entered stage 3

    1. I was diagnosed with COPD Late stage 3 a year ago. I knew I had an issue with my breathing well over a decade ago, i kept trying to get a workup for my breathing difficulty, to no avail. I had my 1st flare up about a month ago & ended up in the hospital. As a retired RN I sadly underestimated how bad I was. Currently fighting another flare up, with my Dr out on vacation till the new year. Sorry, i babble sometimes. I don't know how long you've been handling COPD but a lot has changed for me. Other than breathing I feel the hardest thing was accepting the slow down and being forced to accept help when I was always the one to be the helper.

I sincerely hope your time in stage 3 is long and easy for you. God bless.

    2. I'm sorry you're going through a flare right now. That's not easy, especially with your doctor away. Are they alone in the practice, or is there someone on call you can reach out to, or maybe an urgent care? Please take good care of yourself and pay attention for any more worsening of symptoms -- it is generally safer to check in with a doctor rather than try to push through. Keep us posted! Get well soon. -Melissa, team member
