What does healthy mucus look like as opposed to unhealthy mucus?

  1. Hi Fred B and thanks so much for your post. It's a good question, too! In the most general of terms, 'healthy' mucus can be your normal saliva - clear/white and may be frothy. When we talk about 'unhealthy' mucus, it can be colored (yellow, green, brown), it can be inspissated (thick), tenacious, and/or have a foul odor. You get the idea! You may find that, in addition to this brief reply (above) that this article sheds a bit more light on this very subject:https://copd.net/symptoms/mucus/.
    All the best,
