best ways to cope with emphysema.

I've suffered emphysema for 3 or 4 years now and am still being prescribed Salamol and Trimbow inhalers along with periodic oxygen. Even though my symptoms are getting worse, my GP and nurses say that there's nothing else they can give me. Surely, there must be alternatives ?
