Removal of ventolin as it weakens my medication

A Dr Baker at Owlscot located in Armidale NSW 2350 has just commenced a reduction for COPD patients.

I have been using Trelogy for near 8 months and have just been told to stop using Ventolin as it reduces the strength of my Trelogy. I am now using a nebuliser once a day in place of the Ventolin.

Has any one ever heard of this occurring before with this medication for COPD emphysema?

I am on Trelegy also, but no I have never heard that. I will ask my doctor about it when I go in April. I've been on Trelegy for awhile now and it has helped me.

i just started using trelegy it seems to be working pretty well for me i hope so i am starting to have shortness of breath more often

I see two other community members (@nanadee, and <inline-mention username="12randall" user-id="2484206"/> ), have already responded to your concern. (Thanks, nanadee and 12randall!) As an experienced respiratory therapy practitioner, I have only heard that a rescue inhaler may be needed (for someone using Trelegy), should acute breathing issues arise. Of course you may want to discuss this further with your own private physician. The doctor will be able to advise you as to what is proper treatment for your particular medical situation. By the way, which medication do you use in the nebulizer? Is there something further you can share with the community at this time?
