My Stage III COPD Story: Part II

I was DIAGNOSED 2 Years Ago, On 2017 NOVEMBER 16Th, after being DIAGNOSED with VERY SEVERE OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA and put on BiPAP, on 2017 AUGUST 08 — 09th!!! Met My PULMONOLOGIST, For the FIRST TIME on 2017, November, 16Th.

My COPD treatment and experience

The ONLY MEDICINES, I use for My COPD; Stage III, are:
ANORO ELLIPTA
PRO AIR
DUONEB For NEBULISER
VPAP / BiPAP

Had BRONCHITIS 6 TIMES since, but NO EXACERBATIONS Of SPUTUM!!!

I feel like I have COPD: Stage I, instead.

 I agree. When out in public I may get a coughing episode. I cover my mouth but I get nasty looks from people. They think it’s the flu but it’s only my lungs trying to clear thick phelgm. My husband will say to a cashier, do not worry, she’s not sick, only her COPD. I quit apologizing a long time ago. I need to cough, I will cough.

 Hi Lollipoplady, and thanks so much for joining in the conversation here and sharing how you manage your 'cough in public'. Sometimes we have to be our own best self advocate while other times we have to have thick skin and just ignore the comments made (to us) by others.
