Accidental discovery

Due to shortness of breath I will have to tell my story in segments. Thank you so much for allowing me to join your community. I have so very much to learn and also to share. I'm 77 and in a long term rehab center. I'm a northerner in a very southern state.

How do I continue my starting conversation ?

 I just added to this and it was a very long post and something went wrong and I lose the post and was never able to find it again. So I'll try again. In 2016 I was healthy and living a very busy life spending half of my time between Cincinnati Ohio and Birmingham Al. While down here in 2016 I developed double pneumonia and was rushed to the hospital. While there I was resuscitated 2x. Long story short I woke up in a long term & rehab facility in Bessemer Al. I woke up to having a nasal cannula in my nose and on 3.5 liters of 02 q24 hours. The shock was more that I could bear. I had to be placed on strong antidepressants and since I had aspirated twice in the past 4 years I was also placed on heart and hb/p meds. All of a sudden I am taking a boat load of medicines. I am so frightened of aspirating again that all of the meds need to be crushed in applesauce. My apt in Cincinnati had to be emptied out and affairs settled there. One struck of good luck - I already had a power of attorney who was an attorney and my friend. I am not giving any medical advice nor will I be giving any advice. In future posts I will tell of the things I have learned that have kept me out of the hospital that I wish I had known from the beginning.
