Only me

Doctor fatigue? You make me laugh. Over here, after diagnosis, we get shoved over to COPD specialists. In theory, we see them every six months or so (but can ring them if we have problems). I had one such appointment a few weeks ago after they had a two-year layoff. At least this lady - I had never met her before - had some sense and took all the readings (which are never taken) and listened to my record. It ended up that she arranged for phlegm to be tested for infection; this had never ever been done before for any reason in well over 80 years.

The results?

Two different infections - one extremely common but the other - IF she named it correctly, I had to have unknowingly had for at least 56 years!!!! As for the medicines, for one complaint there exist only three possibilities and I was already allergic to two and had difficulty swallowing the remaining bomb! That one is effective at weakening (?destroying) my resistance to disease.
You just have to laugh or else...

As for the outcome, I used to have good days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and bad days but "bad days" are now much better.
