How to start the morning

I have lots of mucus and coughing in the morning (and, sometimes vomiting). I have found a solution that helps to get me to the point where I am comfortable. When I get up in the morning I make tea. I mix tea with honey and lemon juice (sometimes a splash of brandy). After 3 hours and 3 cups of tea mixture, I am breathing quite well. I hope this helps someone.
