Why is the medical field unaware of programs like Cardio health

I was referred to Pulmonary rehab but getting to the facilities I'd challenging and costly. Why didn't the Dr suggest Cardio health, an online program. Is cardio program a scam?

  1. It sounds like the doctor may have wanted you to do some of the rehab in person but you can definitely call your insurance company and ask them what agencies they recommend that might be able to give you treatment at home, if that would be easier. You'll have to see if your plan supports it and all that stuff, but it might be a place to start to see if you can find more convenient treatment options. If there's anything we can do to help, let us know! Keep on keepin' on, DPM

  2. Thanks, I'll definitely be looking into at home options. Your encouragement is appreciated. Take care

  3. Hi! Do you mean Carda Health? If so, then it is a legitimate program and not a scam. 😀 We have had a few people ask about it here and one person say it's helped them feel a lot better. It is getting more common to see virtual exercise and rehab programs around. For example, my insurance offers an online physical therapy program.

Your doctor may not have mentioned it simply because they didn't know. Or they may feel that a traditional, in person program is better for you. Feel free to ask them for their thoughts, and maybe send them the website (cardahealth.com) so that they can look into it more.

Let us know if you end up trying it out. We could always use more feedback from the different treatments/programs people are using! All the best to you. -Melissa, team member

  4. Thanks for letting me know they are Legit. I'm going to be calling my insurance carrier to see if its covered. Hopefully I'll get in. Will keep you updated.
