Trying Nucala for my COPD

I gave up working in March of 2023 due to this disease. I've had three different doctors, and had good days and bad. Fortunately, I have finally gotten a handle on it. At one time, while the doctors were changing, I lost 40 lbs. The 1st doctor had me on Azithromycin, and the 2nd doctor put me on Roflumilast. I read the after-visit papers and it said to continue all medications. Turns out the two do not mix. I nearly died before I could get the results from the pulmonologist. Today I am on two Albuterol scripts for a nebulizer, Trelegy, Roflumilast, and Nucala. Nucala replaces Prednisone. I haven't had any attacks and can wake up and walk to any room without any medicines to help. I'm getting weight back slowly. If anyone reading this has never heard of Nucala ask your doctor about it.

  1. How scary, ! I'm glad you figured it out and discontinued that combination of medications. I hope Nucala continues to be effective for you and that you regain the weight you lost. Thanks for sharing your journey. It might help someone else avoid similar issues. Warmly, Lori (Team Member)
