Hi CM04e7f1, and welcome! I see you are a new member here in our community having joined just a short while ago today! We are glad to see you are already engaged with the community.
You may be aware we cannot provide medical advice or diagnostics over the internet (for your own safety), but your concern certainly warrants a reply. For some folks with a COPD diagnosis, paint fumes can actually trigger an episode or exacerbation as it relates to the disease. Do you think this is what happened in your case? You may want to reach out to your prescribing physician to determine what the doctor advises you to do in this situation.
Based on what I've read in the community. some of our members have said good things about having air purifiers in the home. I thought you might gain some additional insight from this article, published right here on our COPD.net website: https://copd.net/forums/do-air-purifiers-help-those-with-copd. In it, you will find a conversation on the effectiveness of air purifiers in the home.
What do you think?
