Retirement early

This disease forced me into disability at 62. Fortunately the long term disability along with Social security disability made it easier financially, but it meant that there was a lot that I could no longer do. Moved to Tennessee 5 years ago because we found out that I could breathe better here. I was started on O2 nine years ago. 2 liters when I am sleeping. That hasn't changed. Blessings to everyone!! Breathe easy

  1. Itis difficult, mentally, to have to live with the fact that your body is stopping you from doing things now. Trust me I get it - I have lived with my own chronic illness doing that for almost 40 years! It has taken no less than FIVE careers from me and it never really gets easier to take that initial "oh, I'm not gonna be able to do this.." but it does get easier to move on with practice and find something new. Of course now I am addicting to finding new hobbies... oh well! 🤣 Either way, you are not alone! Maybe we can find something new together. ha ha. Keep on keepin' on, DPM

    1. Thank you. You too

      1. It seems like a lot of people are moving to Tennessee these days, at least in my part of the northeast. Are you enjoying your new surroundings? I hope you have good people around you and many peaceful moments ahead. -Melissa, team member
