What could cause exacerbated phlegm spit up?
What could have CAUSED My LATE MOM, to have EXACERBATIONS, To SPIT UP PHLEGM / SPUTUM?
My mother’s symptoms
As LONG as i can REMEMBER from: 1964 or so, till 2001 JAN 7, (RIP): When She would EXACERBATE SPUTUM almost everytime, Let’s say 99.99% of the TIME, AFTER she would LAY DOWN, whether it was for a Nap or Bedtime. This made Me wonder if, She had COPD / EMPHYSEMA before She was ever DIAGNOSED in the MID 1980’s.
Other family relations with COPD
We all came from the STEUBENVILLE, OHIO — WEIRTON, WV — PITTSBURGH, PA, the OL’ STEEL MILL TERRITORY, which is GONE Now, sadly. Due to EPA Regulations!! My GRAMPA SHOCK and Her DAD had ASTHMA, HAY FEVER for most of His LIFE. AUNT BETTY, My Aunt and MOM’s SISTER, has ASTHMA, ALLERGIES, now COPD, an EX - SMOKER. UNCLE BOB, My LATE Uncle and Mom’s BROTHER, Who was a SMOKER with EMPHYSEMA till He DIED 1980, DEC, after My Parents and I moved to FLORIDA, this is WHERE MOM was DIAGNOSED with COPD!!! My, SISTER, CAROL, DIED of STAGE 4 — END STAGE COPD on 2019 OCTOBER 31,from SMOKING and END ( 2014, JULY ) had to QUIT — on O2. @HITE1955 5:47 PM, EST Thu Dec 6, 2019

I do BELIEVE that I May have ALLERGIC ASTHMA with My COPD, Stage 3.
I got a VERY SEVERE DRIPPY NOSE, ESPECIALLY during My MEALS, and must BLOW My NOSE to CLEAR My MUCUS / PLEGM, It’s Thick, FROTHY, WHITE, just like LUNG PLEGM!!

I forgot to mention that My LATE DAD, was a PIPE SMOKER, Who DIED of TYPE 2 DIABETES COMPLICATIONS in 1997 @ the age 80.
I was EXPOSED to SECOND HAND SMOKE, from the DAY I was BORN, on 1955 AUGUST 12TH!!!!!
This is WHERE My https://asthma.net & My https://copd.net , USERNAME:, came from!!! I was 2 Pounds; 14 Ounces @ BIRTH, I have went DOWN to 2 Pounds; 7 Ounces @ ONE POINT!!!
I was in a INCABATOR, till I was 5 Pounds on 1955 OCTOBER 23rd, the DAY I was SUPPOSED to be BORN!!
I went HOME this DAY, I was EXPOSED from this DAY till about 1987 to PIPE SMOKE!!
