Nebulizer

Good or bad to help keep my lungs moist and help ease the discomfort and help my breathing as my Dr said she doesn't recermend using them .can't people give me their advice and opinions please and what liquor to use in them ??

  1. I find it odd that a physician would bad talk a known treatment used extensively at hospitals, at least any I have had 'the privilege' of attending, which are more than a few.
I would find another source for information regarding the use of at-home nebulizers.

  2. Ok many thanks for your comment and advice .I to was very surprised at her advice because I'd read up on the use of nebulizers with COPD and the benefits and also reading other people comments and experiences using them to help with simptoms or the treatment of COPD condition .
I have already brought myself two portable nebuilzers and just wanted advice and help on using them and the medicine that you would use with a nebulizer .so called my Dr and her reply was that she didn't recermend using nebulizers because they only just mask the Simptoms .
Which I found very surprising to hear from my Dr .she said I need to listen to my chest to see what else to offer me .
So thought my best bet was to ask on this site for people with our condition and see what others had to say .so many thanks again for your advice . Thank you ♥️

    1. My pleasure. The ONLY negatives I could find addressed not keeping the mask clean. This allows bacteria to develop and can cause serious issues. The other, was using medications not prescribed for the nebulizer. Best wishes, may God bless.

  3. Thank you very much appreciate your advice thanks .I'll keep this in mind when using one .what medicine is used in Nebuilzers by the way .and is there any meds or homemade remedy I could use .or are the just for prescribed medication .also as my Dr has said she doesn't think they help .who else can I ask and how do I go about getting any meds to use with the nebuilzers.
So thanks again for your help and support with this issue of mine .Thank you ♥️

    1. Hi . You can ask your pharmacist about over-the counter saline solutions for nebulizers. However, it sounds like you don't have much confidence in this doctor. Rather than using a nebulizer without your doctor's support, you might want to find someone new. Trust is critical in the doctor-patient relationship. You need and deserve a doctor whi inspires confidence. Thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

  4. Yeah thank you I will think about a new Dr .but I've only seen her once in person and a couple of times by phone call .so I'll call her again this week to try and get an appointment with her .but the surgery is extremely busy most day partly due to it being close to a place called wethersfield were there are 1200 illegal migrants and my surgery has loads on there books ..but I'll try and reach out to someone else for advice and support for me .
With regards the nebuilzers I'll talk to my local pharmacy and see what they come up with .I forget you can ask pharmacy for help and advice .so many thanks again for all your advice and help with my COPD .I'll let you know how I progress from now till I get something where with the nebuilzers issue thank and happy new year to you ♥️
