I've been piling pillows, but I think a wedge might help. I don't know what height to get.

I do have a wedge. Been using one for the past 4-5 years. I can't say definitely what height it is. I bought an adjustable one. It has several wedges that can be added or taken out to find what is the best height for you. I would recommend that type of wedge to buy. That way, you can try out several heights and see what works for you. I cannot sleep without one now. It keeps my sinuses draining all night, helps with GERD, and allows very little mucus to get stuck in my throat overnight. Shop around online. I think I got mine from the Sleep Number website. Take care and God Bless!

I sleep in my motorized recliner. You guessed it sitting up. I'm on O2 so with crippled legs chair sleeping. Too hard to get out of the bed and I don't want to wake wet

My wedge is indispensable. Pillows stacked are just not enough. It is a solid set degree, but I have pillows added just for comfort, as the wedge is a hard foam of some sort. Before I had it, sleep, at any time, was a problem. Now, when I do sleep, it is a solid 6 hours or so, instead of a 2-hour waking-up gasping situation. It still happens at times, the weather seems to influence it, but not like before.

I use a wedge, but not for COPD. It’s for acid reflux. So far it works well, unfortunately it’s the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on my head is bent and my neck bothers me. I’ve even had to go for therapy because it is thing. I’m gonna buy a couple of new pillows and ditch the wedge and see how I make out.
