Cat litter for COPD

What cat litter best for respiratory issues.

  1. Hi Mishell, and thanks for your post and question - it's a good one.
There are cat litter products, which are commercially available, which are more suited for foks with respiratory issues than some other products, If you do a simple internet search using the words, 'cat litter for people with COPD' - you will find a wealth of information to guide you in this regard. You may also want to discuss this with your veterinarian and/or private medical doctor. They may have some practical suggestions for you as well.
    What do you think?

    1. Great question. For me, I am careful to only use litter that is unscented and considered 99 percent dust free. Additionally, the kind of litter box you use and where you keep it in the house can make a difference. Someone at your local pet store can help guide you to some good options. Are you having trouble with your current litter? Just curious to hear more about your situation as a fellow cat person. 😀 All the best to you and your cat! -Melissa, copd.net team
