can I take Albuterol first thing in am?

I wake up in am with SOB. Should I take Albuterol>

  1. Hi . Albuterol can have some serious side effects if you use it too often, so I would definitely ask your doctor before taking it in the mornings, especially if you plan to use it every day. It really wouldn't be safe for anyone in this community to give you a recommendation anyway since we're not medical experts. Have you tried any breathing exercises, like pursed-lip breathing, as soon as you wake up? Here is an article about pursed-lip breathing in case you are unfamiliar with it: https://copd.net/guest-expert/pursed-lips-are-not-just-for-kissing. I wonder if your pulmonologist might have some other ideas, like maybe a biPAP machine or another medication. - Lori (Team Member)

    1. Thanks for responding. I use a CPAP every night, but find that using Trelegy 5 mins after Albuterol opens up my lungs first is effective.
