Bronchieacteses & Agent Orange

My husband was recently diagnosed with Bronchieactesis. Although I am sure that his smoking is a major cause of this disease, he also served in Vietnam and was exposed to Agent Orange. Has anyone else out there had a similar experience and if so, did you try to receive some kind of compensation from the VA?

  1. Hi lhendrick, and thanks for your post. While I'm hopeful others in the community will see your post and respond, I also have something to contribute.
Several of my buddies are Vietnam era veterans, a few with purple hearts. Some have conditions that might be connected with 'agent orange' but, the diseases may also be associated with aging and some unhealthy habits. For each one of them, to my knowledge, there has never been a connection established. However, none of them have a bronchiectasis diagnosis either.
I wish you (and your husband), good luck! Please do check back and let us know how this turns out for you.
    All the best,
    Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
