Puffy feet ankles

Hi sorry to bother you I'm 72 yrs young recently while in hospital for low ox2 shortness of breath I was put on predestone for 5 days got my px2 back to 91ox2 they also put me on a pill called fuderside I think it was called a fluid tablet any they were driving me crazy peeing continually nauseus shaky plus I read where should not take with cortasteroids ect pain meds ,I had to stop taking them I felt so bad it's been a week since I had any my feet are still puffy until I elevate them again I realise it's probley my heart not pushing blood enough .also I could not get take home ox2 until iv stopped smoking for 6 weeks icant seem to stop plus my wife of 40 yrs has decided she likes smoking omg I can't walk out on her as she is doing it bit hard loss of memory seems to be getting worse I just don't know how to handle this problem .has anyone else had experience with this type fluid tablet ?   1. What a difficult situation, . I hope your wife eventually comes around and that you are able to quit smoking, but I know that's hard, especially with your wife's memory loss. Have you talked with your doctor about your issues with the fluid pills? I wonder if you can take something milder. Has your doctor done a cardiac workup as well?   2. Let your regular doctor know what they gave you in the hospital and ask them to check for interactions ... they may be able to change your medications so that you are more comfortable. Have you tried to quit smoking recently? Do you have access to nicotine patches or other products? The website https://www.quit.org.au/ can help you find resources near you in Australia. Try starting with waiting a few extra minutes before smoking, and then think about smoking one less cigarette during the day. You don't have to rush. Sometimes taking small steps is best.
