How to use oxygen tanks like a pro

I have a large concentrator that I use for exercise primarily. I have changed from a larger tank to a B tank. I’ve been searching online as I would like tips on how to use the tank while cleaning inside of house and outside work. Gardening, etc. I have tried the bag that came with B tank & put it into a back pack & tried using a belt so it would stay in place but for me very hard to work that way. It slides around, feels awkward & heavy after awhile. When it gets hot hard to have it in my back. I put it down and with a long hose and that’s doable until I forget & pull it right out. I’ve been looking for tips on how to move around more freely & be able to get something done. I don’t use the tanks much in winter months. I would like to know how you accomplish chores using your tanks that make it functional and easier.
Thanks in advance for your help.

It sounds like you need an Inogen portable oxygen concentrator. I do not know if you would qualify for insurance to help pay for it. I know they are fairly expensive. But it might be something to check into. It is small and easy to have on your person while working outside or doing anything that requires extra oxygen. Take care and God Bless!

    1. Dminor9 Thank you. I have checked out the POC that you suggested. Not sure if insurance covers it or not. I did speak with my oxygen provider about the ones they carry & they sent a respiratory therapist and she approved me. It fell through the cracks when Covid reared it’s ugly head. Then I was switched to a new oxygen carrier & I never really followed up after hearing they didn’t have any paperwork on it.
It may be something to check back into.

Hope you & family are doing well.

      1. The Inogen only delivers a little less than 2 liters of oxygen. The numbers they have on the machines do not correlate to liters. An honest salesperson should tell you this.

        1. Thank you will check everything out 😊
