Yesterday my new pulmonologist had great news

She said there were no signs of emphysema on either my chest or lung cts
She showed me the xrays and explained all the little white dots.(calification, damage from smoking, but not a concern) The pulmonologist she replaced never told me anything
So, I hope I quit smoking in time( 2 yrs ago) not to make the end of my life not about that.
I had croupe when I was a little kid and I remember gasping for air.
I've been exercising like crazy so we'll see
Anyway just wanted to say that doctors can make all the difference in your state of mind

  1. Katy,
It is so nice to hear someone's good news. I just got the same good news a few weeks ago. It is a good feeling and a testament to good work trying to take care of yourself. Grreat Job Katy! Take Care and God Bless!

    1. Thanks for blessings.

      1. Hi - and thanks for starting this post in the forums section. You make an excellent point. A good physician, and collaborating with a quality physician can make a big difference in the successful treatment of this disease. It is always worth the effort (from my perspective), to seek out this level of physician for one's own care.
It sounds like you have found that 'right' physician, Katy.
        Keep up the good work!
