COPD can absolutely make you feel tired. The damaged lungs from COPD use up so much energy doing their job of exchanging Oxygen and CO2, that there often times is not enough energy left for anything else. Not to mention the rest of your body getting enough oxygen to function properly. When I have a flare up, I definitely feel a lot more tired than usual. I am 10 years younger than you, and I still feel tired at times. I am doing my best to combat this by exercising daily, using my acapella and voldyne machines daily to keep mucus levels low and to strengthen my lungs, I do controlled breathing daily, and I take my medications on time and strictly according to instructions. I am sure your osteoarthritis has a lot to do with the tiredness also. Seems like all the conditions together are compounding the situation. You should contact your health care provider and discuss these problems with them. It seems that there ought to be something they can do to help your situation out. Hang in there and don't give up! God Bless.
