Can a stent procedure improve oxygen saturation?

Can having a stent procedure done improve oxygen saturation in general if a coronary blockage is found. I was wondering about changes in saturation.

  1. Hi twovillages and thanks for your post. You may be aware we cannot provide medical advice or diagnostics over the internet (for your own safety), but your concern warrants a reply for certain.
First, you may want to look over this comment from one of our members related to pulmonary valves: https://copd.net/stories/valves/.
Second, if you would like to know more about pulmonary stents, I would suggest you do a GOOGLE search using the words 'pulmonary stent'. You will find a good number of links to information all concerning airway stenting.
And finally, I would suggest you contact your physician to discuss if your are a candidate for this type of intervention - your health care professional will be able to discuss this with you on a personal level. I do hope this brief reply provides you with some guidance for your concerns. Wishing you the best, Leon (site moderator)
