How do you cope with not being able to enjoy being outdoors?

Hello! How do you cope with not being able to be outside at the park for example? I love going to the lakefront and having a picnic with kids and grandkids! I haven't been since getting diagnosed 2 years ago! I don't know if I can sit in the sand or go in the water, just to put my feet in! I don't know if I can be out in the sun with the oxygen tanks. I just want to know what I can still enjoy.

  1. Hi again TrendaIvy - we understand your concerns. I'm surprised to hear that you haven't been outside in the two years since you've been diagnosed to enjoy what you can of the outdoors. I would suggest you talk this over at length and collaborate with your physician - you should be able to determine what you are capable of doing. Oxygen cylinders are made to transport and portable oxygen concentrators should allow you to use supplemental oxygen when you're enjoying the outdoors. How does this preliminary plan sound to you?
Please check back and let us know how you're doing.
    All the best,
