Navigational Bronchoscopy

Well, I got home a few hours ago. Pulmonologist said he thinks in r going to be fine and that it went well. They did an x-ray after the procedure and showed no sign of a collapsed lung which was a concern for them even with the navigational procedure. I was under general anesthesia. Due to no water and no food my whole body shakes. My husband and daughter are here helping me. I can say that I am very scared to be alone through the night even though my husband is here. I am confident tomorrow will be a better day

  1. I had that done, and it went really well. No pain meds because there was no cutting or anything. I was a bit nervous myself, afterward, but it is a very easy, safe, painless procedure. I had it done when my endobronchial valves were installed. Piece of cake over night! Rest easy.

    1. Thank.you so much

    2. Let me know how it went.

  2. Hi again, Alwaystomorrow, and thanks for providing this update on the guided bronchoscopic procedure. I am so glad to hear the good news and the pulmonologist's assessment following the procedure. You must be gratified to hear that as well.
Sometimes, it takes a while to recover post-procedure, especially when one has been under general anesthesia, as you were.
Be kind and patient with yourself. Even though you are apprehensive now (and that is understandable), your husband and daughter are watching over you while you recover and sleep through the night.
As you said (and I agree), stay confident that tomorrow will be better!
Have a restful and recuperative night.
If you are able to and have the time, please let us know how you are doing over the weekend!
    Warmly,
