Maintence inhaler input

Hello, I'm having side effects to many of them Trileptel can't take, Breo shoulder pain, infections and stop working. Started symbacort now and have some shakiness, dizziness and headache on left side and pain above my eye.

If you have any input, suggestions I would appreciate it.Thank you!

  1. Hi , i'm confident our other community members will chime in if they have had a similar experience. In the meantime, have you had a chance to speak with your doctor about these side effects? If not, it may be helpful to loop them in so they can help address these symptoms! All the best, Sam S. (COPD.net, team member).

    1. They put me on advair twice a day and my Ventolin inhaler. Hope it will work.

      1. Hi 'three' and thanks for your reply and further explanation - I appreciate it. Interestingly enough, I have been using Advair and an Albuterol metered dose inhaler (MDI), for many, many years. This has been extremely effective in controlling my asthma. I also am diligent (when feasible), about avoiding my triggers.
I agree with you - the doctor could've handled this differently with you. Passing you off to the emergency department is of no real comfort. After all, where does he/she fit into this scenario?
I'm hopeful the Advair will help to control the disease for you and help to reduce the need for the rescue inhaler.
Please do keep us posted as to how this progresses moving forward.
        Warmly,
        Leon (site moderator COPD.net)

      2. thank you Leon. Do you have asthma and COPD? I'm glad to hear the regimen is working for you. Gives me hope. He said I would have some shortness of breath while my body adjusts from coming off the atrovent and Breo and starting the atrovent. I'm managing by taking everything slow. Which is not in my character. Buts that's ok. I'm alive. My aunt said she also takes advair, Ventolin and uses Spirivia in her regimen. I'm so grateful for all of you here. Everyone has been helpful and supportive. Thankful!
