Loss of appetite

Can anyone please help us with my wife as she has totally lost her appetite and feels sick all of the time

  1. ,
You need to contact her medical team. There are medications available to help with nausea and constantly feeling sick with no appetite. When I got out of ICU, I felt sick constantly and had no appetite at all. I contacted my doctor who prescribed Ondansetron. That is an anti-nausea medication that also brought back my appetite. If I am misunderstanding "feels sick all the time" disregard this recommendation. But you should still contact the doctor and get some help. Good Luck and God Bless.

    1. Hi Nikkiwife74, and thanks for your post and the concern expressed for your wife's condition. You are doing the right thing by reaching out for assistance!
I see our member colleague, , has already chimed in with a suggestion, and I agree with what he has said. I do hope you have an opportunity to read his comment.
When something like this happens (a COPD diagnosis combined with loss of appetite and feeling sick), the most prudent action is to contact one's physician - in this case, your wife's. There can be any number of (medical) reasons why your wife is feeling this way. It is the doctor who can assess what is going on and provide the appropriate treatment once an accurate diagnosis is made.
      What do you think?
Please do check back and let us know how this all turns out - we have a genuine concern for your wife's (and your), good health!
      Warm regards,
      Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
