Inhaler Nasal stick, to help you breathe.

Hi there everyone, Would anyone of you say if Inhaler Vicks Nasal stick is safe to use to help you breathe better and get rid of that blocked nose that we seem to get , especially through the night and first thing in morning he morning, or could it irritate you more and cause matters to make you worse and interfere with bringing up phlegm off your chest and phlegm off your chest through your nasal passages, making it more prone to infections.X

  1. Hi, hope you're doing well. You may want to reach out to your doctor, but I'd love you hear what he says. I purchased a notice pot system to see if that would help, although I've been procrastinating using it, lol. My otolaryngologist recommended it. I'll let you know if it helps if I quit being lazy, lol. Blessings to you. Hope you have a great day! Susan

    1. Hi again, , and thanks for your post and question - it's a good one! I see our fellow community member, , has already provided a practical answer (thanks Susan!).
I also have something to contribute. In addition to checking with your physician, I can tell you (from professional experience), that some folks do quite well using the brand Vicks. Still others find that it is not therapeutic at all. The reaction to medications (prescription and over the counter), can vary from patient to patient. I recall you are not always fond of reaching out to your physician - so I understand you posing this question to the community.
Have you used Vicks in the past? Has it been effective for you?
      All the best,

  2. Hi - thanks again, for joining in the conversation with our fellow community member, .
You may notice there was a typo or 'glitch' of some kind with your post. In it, you referred to the 'notice' pot system, which was recommended by your otolaryngologist.
In order that our readers have a better understanding of your comment, I am guessing you were referring to a 'Neti' pot system.
Thanks so much - we have actually had folks comment about how they use the Neti pot. Perhaps reading a little bit about others' personal experiences might help you to decide whether to use it moving forward. As an example, here is the article written by our own @Janet Plank; https://copd.net/living/moving-into-fall.
I do hope you find this to be helpful as you evaluate what to do for yourself.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

    1. Oh goodness, yes indeed it was supposed to say Neti. My apologies for my fat fingers. Thank Leon for pointing that out. Hope you have a great evening! Blessings, Susan

      1. Hi again, Susan - I am always happy to help!! I understood what you were saying but just wanted to make sure everyone else had it all straight, too! No harm done!!
Great to be talking with you!
        Warmly,
