Good Day - New Equipment POC and HOC

Well it was a great day today, first I changed O2 companies and received my new equipment for O2 use at home and tag-a-long tanks. The concenter is a "Fill your Own Home Concentrator" this allows me to fill my own Take-A Long bodies for outings when needed, no waiting for refills if I wish not to! Then of course it works like a normal home unit, unlike my "old" unit from the 1st company this one has an alarm to let me know if the electricity goes out, plus a giant tank that holds 48 hrs worth of O2 for power outages . This new unit is chest high total on myself whom is 5'7" tall. THEN to make the day even better I was able to finally contact Inogen and am getting myself a Inogen 6 POC. Yes very excited, ordered with 2 extended batteries for a total of 12 hrs of use if needed I will be able to drive to the grandbabies with no worries of having enough tanks to make the trip. Yes it was expensive, but life is to short not to enjoy, especially those babies! Should have the POC by Saturday! Just a good day that those things that have been an issue for a couple months now is finally being handled... Sorry, good days of feeling well and having something taken care of is few and far in between not to enjoy and spread the news when it does happen. I wish for all to have a great also and be able to share your happiness! Home Fill Oxygen Unit

  1. dltld,
It is fairly ironic when you get diagnosed with COPD, how happiness is so different. Use to be being happy was going out to play sports with friends, an all day fishing excursion, buying your first big screen TV, getting a new car, etc. Now happiness is defined with a good CT scan, a new POC (like your self), getting inhalers from Prescription Assistance Programs, finding a great pulmonologist, etc. How times have changed. Congrats on the new equipment! Take Care and God Bless!

    1. Hi again, (doris) - wow this is a banner day for you! I read your news and my heart sang! (Okay, well - maybe it didn't actually sing but, you know what I mean!)
From what you've pictured here, combined with your illustrative narrative, you have everything you need to be mobile, independent of relying on the company (for mundane stuff!), and can now go visit those grandchildren to your heart's content!!
Go have a ball, doris - life is too short - this is the time to enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!
      Warm regards,
      Leon (site moderator COPD.net)
