Duaklir and Jitters

Hi all,
First post, mild COPD, prescribed Duaklir which seemed to have aided my breathing to the point I thought it was the silver bullet I needed. I did however experience anxiety and felt jittery. It was like taking 10 puffs of Albuterol. Any thoughts on whether this may pass and if so in how long?
Thanks,
C.

  1. I am keen on reading about other's experience. That is a new thing for me.

    1. Hi Cruzer, and welcome! Glad to see your first post here - hope it is one of many moving forward.
You may be aware the symptoms you've shared (feeling anxious and jittery), are side effects that may be associated with this medication for some folks.
If these side effects persist or, worsen even, you may want to discuss your circumstances with your prescribing physician. Perhaps the doctor will be able to suggest an alternate medication regimen that will be just as effective but, without these side effects.
      What do you think?

      1. Hi We're glad you're here! We have so many great community members who have shared their experiences in our stories section which you can find here: https://copd.net/stories All the best, Sam S. (Team Member).

        1. Welcome to the community! As Leon already said, this is a possible side effect, so you're not experiencing anything too unusual. However, I agree with Leon, if they symptoms worsen or you just decide you can't put up with it, let your doctor know and I'm sure they can find something else that will work as well but with less side effects.
Keep in mind it can take a little time to adjust to a new medication, so what your experiencing may wear off once you've been on it a while.
