Just wondering what age you were when you were diagnosed and what stage you were? I had got a cold that just wouldn't quit and it really shined a spotlight on lots of little things I was ignoring as getting older, allergies, low energy.
I has quit smoking years back but I guess it was too late.

Appreciate you sharing your story Oshun802! I was diagnosed about 2 years ago and was just into end stage based on my Fev levels. I guess I should have known but was, as you were, ignoring the subtle signs. I was sent to the local hospital for more extensive testing, including a CT scan of my lungs. Doc put me on a daily puffer and that's about it. Since then I have been going to have my Fev level checked every 6 months. With the medication he gave me plus keeping active as possible I have actually raised my Fev level to the upper range of Stage 3. My goal now is to try and get to stage 2 within the next year or so. I wish you well in your journey with COPD. I too had quit smoking a couple of years prior to being diagnosed. The best thing any one of us can do to slow the progression of this disease!

Hey folks, thanks for sharing some of your stories. I am going for my lung tests tomorrow at 8:30am. I don't believe they will tell me anything then and there though. I have been using the bronchdilater my doctor put me on. They seem to have helped a lot. Reduced a great deal of the coughing and the wheezing. I was singing in my car today and my chest got real tight. My o2 on my watch said i was at 91%. I wonder if I was always that low when I have had that tightness feeling. Well I hope tomorrow goes well. I am hopeful I got this early. Fingers crossed.

Hi Oshun, and thanks for both of your posts here. Glad to hear that you were able to quit smoking. As you know, quitting smoking is a genuine accomplishment - one you can truly be proud of. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
Let's wait and hear what the doctor's assessment is -then we'll have a better idea of what exactly your medical condition is and what the treatment is, if necessary, moving forward.
Please do check back and let us know how this all turns out for you.
All the best,
