Hi Jamca7064 - I'm sorry about the diagnosis, but catching it in the mild stage is great! I know you love a more definite answer, but it progresses in every person differently.
However, because it was caught early with you, there is so much you can do to slow the progress. For instance, make sure you eat a healthy diet, maintain a good weight, get moderate exercise, try to have a good sleep routine, and don't smoke. That may seem like a basic list of things we should all do to maintain our health, but it's even more important after you've been diagnosised with COPD.
If you keep your lungs and body in the best shape possible, it's much harder for the COPD to progress.
