What generic equivalent are you referring to? Inhalers? Steroids? Mucolytics? I am not sure there are any generic inhalers available yet. I know the FDA approved a generic of corticosteroid inhalers, but don't know when it will be available to the general public. Supposedly, the cost is supposed to be around 50% less for the consumer. But that remains to be seen. Also, one must remember that every patient's prescriptions are different as every patient reacts to meds differently. It will be hard to get a definitive answer to your question. My suggestion is to talk to your medical provider about getting a generic for whatever you are taking and what would be the best generic for you. That question will not be able to be answered here on the forum, as no one here is a certified doctor or knows your particular medical history. Take care and God Bless.
