That is a tough question to answer definitively. What I would look for are these qualities. Does your doctor listen to you? Does he or she give you an opportunity to talk and ask questions? Does he or she answer your questions to your satisfaction? Does he or she explain your conditions and treatments in plain, understandable terms? Does he or she respond in a timely fashion when you contact their office with a medical problem? Do you feel comfortable going in for an appointment to see your doctor? Are you treated with respect and concern for your better health? I really love my doctor and his medical team. The answer to all the above questions for me is a resounding YES! That is the best answer I can give from my own experiences. Hopefully there will be others who will chime in with some other answers. Take care and God Bless!

My doctor never checks my heart. My primary doctor does. Ekg, etc. The pulmonogist medical staff are not nice and can be unprofessional. That affects me.

As I have stated here before, my pulmonologist is also an internist and a nephrologist. He is my primary doctor also. I get a full physical yearly. CT Scan, total bloodwork, urinalysis, PFT test, EKG, and anything else he deems necessary at the time. His wife is a cardiologist. I am so lucky to be covered with pretty much anything that crops up medically. It brings peace of mind for sure. They are the best medical team I have ever had. Take care all and God Bless!
