Chemical COPD

I was diagnosed about 3 years ago. Sometimes my oxygen levels go down to 85 with my CPAP on. I’ve been to the hospital and they don’t understand that just because it might say you’re oxygen is 98% with oxygen on that you’re really getting that much. Other nurses and doctors agree but it’s up to the hospitalist doctor to decide when to send you home.

I still can’t get my breath and sometimes my oxygen goes down to 85 with CPAP machine on. I was wondering does anyone have the same problems???

  1. Hi , and thanks for your post. You are definitely not alone as others in our community have expressed similar sentiments when it comes to oxygen saturation levels and discomfort breathing.

I am hopeful others in the community will see your post and respond with their own personal experiences.

In the meantime, I thought this article, on this specific topic, might provide you with some additional insight: https://copd.net/clinical/breathlessness-vs-oxygen-saturation/. I do hope you find it to be helpful in a practical way.
