Breathing

Hi folks, my wife suffers from COPD. and recently had an excacerbation, after the Steroids ect, she was prescribed Carbocistiene which seems to help. I just wondered if anyone had tried this medicine.

  1. Hi CM445, and thanks for your post. You may be aware that the medication Carbocisteine is a drug classified as a mucolytic. It works by reducing the viscosity of mucus, thereby facilitating moving it up and out of the patient's airway system. I am glad to hear it was efficacious for your wife.
I am also hopeful that other members of our community will see your inquiry and respond accordingly if they have used this medication.
    Wishing you well,
