Anxiety / Dental Problems

Hello, i have COPD since 2017. Having problems having tooth removed. I do not move from home much when COVID number go up.

I am having anxiety, this would make blood pressure spike. GP put me on BP meds made me crazy and more anxious. Finally off these dangerous meds, only on Hydrochlorothiazide (dieuretic) and BREO..

I am now working with Anxiety Counselor, deep breathing, yoga, walking each day. I have a anxiety for dentist, but must find solution for tooth extraction so i can work on my anxiety. The pain makes it difficult for concentration. I need some guidance for a good direction for proper caring help. Thank you.

  1. , I hear how overwhelming this time has been for you! Contending with anxiety and COPD is really hard. I'm glad to hear you are off the medications that were making things worse for you! Have you had the chance to speak with your counselor about the anxiety around going to the dentist? If not, maybe speaking with them would offer some options for you? Or maybe reaching out to your dentist and letting them know you are anxious about the care so they can help come up with a treatment plan might be helpful. What do you think? All the best, Sam S. 1. Thank you for listening and your ideas and kind words. I have appointment with dentist to discuss, hopefully a plan.

      1. , i'm so glad to hear you have an appointment set up, please keep us updated on how that goes and what plan you come up with! All the best, Sam S. (COPD. net, team member).

Like my colleague, , I am glad to hear you have an appointment scheduled with the dentist. Please do check back and let us know how this all turns out for you.
